University of Michigan students tell us that making friends and finding community is one of the most rewarding and important aspects of their first year on campus.
There is a new program opportunity this year called the Community Matters Cohort Program which provides a space for undergraduate students to meet people also looking to meet people. Program participants will be matched with a pair of upperclassmen facilitators and a small group of other students who are interested in finding community. This virtual community is designed to support students navigate community building in multiple environments. Students will connect through cohort social events and conversations about cultivating support networks during our time at U-M.
